Cultural Traditions, Not Scientific Evidence

Crystal Almanac reports what cultures across history have believed about stones because those beliefs are part of each mineral's story. Everywhere this site describes metaphysical properties, chakra or zodiac associations, or healing traditions, that material is presented as cultural tradition, not scientific evidence. We report what people have believed; we never present those beliefs as scientific or medical claims.

Not Medical Advice

Metaphysical and “healing” associations are cultural traditions, not medical advice or scientific fact. Crystals are not a substitute for professional medical care. Nothing on this site should be interpreted as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a health concern, consult a qualified healthcare provider.

Physical Safety

Some minerals contain toxic elements such as lead, arsenic, or copper, and some are damaged or made hazardous by water, salt, or sunlight. Never prepare gem elixirs by soaking stones in drinking water, wash your hands after handling raw specimens of toxic minerals, and check a stone's profile before cleansing it in water. Our Crystal Care & Safety guide covers which stones are toxic, which are water-unsafe, and how to handle both. Guides describing physical techniques or chemical handling are general education, not professional safety instruction; follow the label and safety data sheet for any product you use.
